A recent study forthcoming in the International Public Management Journal ranks the program at Texas A&M among the top programs in the world in terms of research productivity. The ranks, based on authorship of articles published in prestigious public administration journals shows Texas A&M is consistently ranked in the top 20 regardless of the journals used and ranked as high as seventh world wide based on the most selective journals. The study was conducted by scholars at Erasmus University in Rotterdam and funded by the European Union?s Seventh Framework Program on Socio-Economic Sciences and Humanities. The Public Administration and Public Policy program in Political Science at Texas A&M and its associated research program, the Project for Equity, Representation, and Governance, specializes in producing PhDs who go on to careers in research at major universities.
